Finished the bottom today, installed the cutlass bearing and prop, did propspeed on the prop and the surveyor did the survey. Tomorrow i start sanding the hull for repaint. |

Went ok, we were too big to get into the lift so we had to undo the front forestay, this was ok, except in the process i drug it accross my freshly painted deck putting a HUGE gouge in it :( Everything else went great. I do have a problem that cropped up on the sattelite dish, i think it's the directv receiver or at least i hope it is, will do some quick testing tomorrow. Not cool! Lots of scraping to do, the bottom was in really bad shape, i can see bottom paint from three bottom jobs ago! |

BRRRRRR, it's been cold here, not progress on projects. I've been installing the golden rod dehumidifiers in some of the compartments, other then that nothing great. |

In August Amy and I went to Key Largo to get our dive certification. With the expense of dive equipment it's taken us some time to get dive gear, but we're finally there and will soon be able to go diving! First order of business will be of course be scraping the bottom!!!! |

We finally settled on cork for a number of reasons. It really is a great fit for a boat, waterproof, flexible, repairable and beautiful.... it's also something you don't see on a lot of boats. I have not received it yet, but I have received the samples and am excited to get started on the project. I have a few complaints about any of the vinyls, but the biggest one is the fact that it cannot be repaired and scuffs very easily, it's also very expensive, but in reality not that much more per square foot then the cork. |

The Home depot vinyl I laid down a year or so ago just isn't aging well. The glue didn't hold on the seems and it just doesn't look good. The vberth had a thru hull leak and ended up getting water under it since it didn't glue down and I had to tear it up. so I'm back to doing the floors. I am seriously leaning towards cork. It looks great, waterproof, can be refinished and is fairly unique which I really like. Samples should be here next week and I'll make a decision. |
