So I have decided to to paint the top side, the old paint was in terrible shape and very poorly done to begin with, we also do not like the color, it's very "dated". So I have done a test piece for the deck color which is a cream, it looks AMAZING, but i am working from the top down, so I started on the pure white sections on the house. I hand sanded everything and have the first coat of primer on. It really looks good, I am using the 2 part Perfection paint from Interlux and so far i am really impressed. It's going on nicely, evening out very well and looks great. |

Been a while, but never fear i have tons of stuff to add. First off we went to the boat show last weekend in Miami, didn't look at any boats our main goal was to check out the vendors. I wanted to look at the 12 volt watermakers and decide which one I wanted. |

It appears they have opened what's left of the mooring balls. Keep in mind there are half as many as their used to be, I have not been down to check out the facility, but the docks are not finished so just the mooring balls are open. I have no idea what the rates are, but if you find out please let me know so I can post it here. I get a lot of visitors asking about the anchorage. |

The quake occurred about 20 miles North-Northwest of San Jose. 34 dead so far and let's hope that number doesn't go higher. So yea it's my birthday and I decided it was time to do an oil change since my amsoil synthetic oil showed up. I replaced both the diesel engine oil with amsoil synthetic marine diesel engine oil and the transmission with full synthetic. I had been leaning this way for quite sometime, if for no other reason then the fact that the synth oil won't mix with water like dino in the event some water gets in there. Also the tranny fluid synth dissipates a shitload more heat then regular dino. |
